Audience Member The story of the anime is about Ichirō Umoregi, also known as Akuma-Kun. His goal is to create the Millennia Realm, a paradise for demons and mankind. He tries to achieve this goal with the help of his 12 apostles, his friend Mephisto III., a demon named Gremory and his dad, the original Akuma-Kun, Shingo Umoregi. Akuma-Kun's other goal is to learn about mankind. When raised by a demon, he never learned about morality or empathy, he only learned about the suffering of humans. After being adopted by Shingo, he first learns about kindness. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/14/24 Full Review Charles A I know nothing about the original manga or movies, but as a stand alone show it is charming and sweet. The usual trope of the quiet and calculating character with a bad understanding of social queues and emotional intelligence is overplayed, but here you can see there is more behind Ichiro. He is just a kid, and his aloofness is a front. I like the slight twist on this type of character, it's refreshing to see it done so well. I'm tired of fanservice in anime honestly but this show keeps it to a minimum, there's one sexy character and she has an important role, and isn't entirely dedicated to letting the viewer get off. There isn't any creepy shots of girls or anything like that, it focuses on the story and characters. Also, the artsyle is unique and charming, and I love the animation quality. Overall very good, but it is simple and nothing to write home about. I recommend it if you have the time. Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/24 Full Review PocketC0mb To start with the obvious this shows animation is an absolute beauty. The scenery is incredible and lovely to look at. When it comes to characters in the beginning you feel as if they are unnatural and strange. This same things goes with the dialogue, but as the story goes on you do get reasons why some characters act strange. At times they will talk about something random as if the watcher knows what they are, but again they do explain these things throughout the show. Overall I did love the show and I really hope for a second season. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/19/23 Full Review Shell S The character is a genius written by an idiot, he mispronounced several words and his logic is shaky at best. Rotten tomatoes gives this a critic score of 100%? This is evidence you can ignore critic ratings. That being said some of the humor is good, the haunts are interesting like the manga, and the food looks delicious. Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/15/23 Full Review Eric X It's not a bad series and the anime looks pretty but the story is quite predictable and boring.
